Private Road Cycling Experience
We begin by the Mediterranean, on Marbella’s coastline. But this time, our destination lies much higher: we’ll leave the sea behind and ride deep into the mountains.
The first kilometres will take us towards Ojén, one of the beautiful white villages nestled in the mountains behind Marbella. Here, we’ll make a very special stop before taking on the main climb of the day.
We’ll visit El Mojaíto, a traditional local churrería, where you’ll discover one of those little traditions you would probably never find without a local showing you the way: the Mojaíto, a unique churro lightly dipped in salted water before eating — a local speciality so distinctive that it gives the churrería its name.
Coffee, breakfast and a taste of authentic local life before getting back on the bike.
From Ojén, the real climbing begins. A beautiful winding mountain road takes us progressively higher, leaving the village behind and offering spectacular glimpses of the Mediterranean along the way.
As we gain altitude, the landscape changes completely. The coast gradually disappears behind us as the road leads us deeper into the mountains, surrounded by pine forests and nature, until we reach our destination: Refugio de Juanar, a spectacular mountain retreat and the perfect reward after the climb.
Then comes one of the best parts — a fantastic descent from the mountains back towards Marbella and the Mediterranean.
